Lead & Harmony Vocals: This born & raised New Yorker has been singing since she was just a tot. Her talents were first recognized in elementary school where she was applauded for having great vocal pitch, tone & sound. Throughout her school years she studied music and often received solos in school shows. She was awarded with a high school music diploma and went on to studying music in college. Melly has appeared in an off-off Broadway show, has played with original & Top 40 cover bands, and has been in the recording studio.
Guitar - Bass & Synth: Bill has been playing guitar for over 35 years and began by studing jazz guitar at the New York Institute of Music and Rock Guitar at the Paul Simon School of music in Manhattan. In the 1990’s he studied and played with Jorma Kaukonen & Jack Casady, both of the Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna. Over the years Bill has played with many different bands and has performed at the House of Blues, BB King Club, Universal City Walk, Lake Eola, Sea World and many other places. Bill brings a diverse style of guitar playing to THE CAST BAND from Finger-Style Blues to Classic Rock, R&B and Smooth Jazz.
Bass Player - Vocals: Brad is a native Virginian and recent transplant to the Orlando area. He has been playing bass for over 15 years and cites Steve Harris and Paul McCartney as his favorite players and main influences. He has played in 2 tribute bands (U2 and Van Halen) and many top 40 dance bands as well as old school metal. Brad loves his Fender and his Music Man basses as well as his Aguilar amp.
Lead and Harmony Vocals:
A native of just outside Baltimore, Maryland; Laura began her performing career in dance. However, with two classical musicians as parents, she soon discovered her love for singing. After studying voice and receiving her BA in theater at the University of Maryland, she relocated to Orlando. Since moving to Florida, Laura has worked on Celebrity Cruises as a singer and now works at Universal Studios, SeaWorld and Walt Disney World as a vocalist, performance artist and aerialist. She also enjoys performing at various venues in the metro area. Her musical influences include Norah Jones, The Beatles, Billie Holiday, Heart, Ingrid Michaelson and Eva Cassidy.
Jason started playing the piano at age 4 when his grandmother bought him a toy piano. He proceeded to drive his parents nuts playing all the songs in the book that came with it (this was before he was in kindergarten). Today, Jason enjoys current electronic music and has a penchant for 80's music. He spends most of his days working for the City of Orlando.
Matt Riley - Bass
Providing the heartbeat of the band is Matt Riley aka; The Bassmaniac. According to Steve Ofield of FOX 35 News, “Matt can..turn even the crankiest fan into a jumping, screaming fool.” His amazing talent is unmatched as he slaps, pops, and grooves through his bass lines influenced by bassists Robert Trujillo, Adam Nitti, Flea, and Les Claypool.
Matt has been a regular fixture in the Orlando music scene, and with Ibanez basses, for over 30 years as a founding member of bands such as FuRious! aka furious george. FuRious! was introduced to the industry by capturing the Battle of the Bands title at the House of Blues. They were immediately flown to Chicago and put on the Suicidal Tendencies shows. Throughout their journey, FuRious! shared the stage with national acts such as Candlebox, Godsmack, Sevendust, Everclear, Chevelle DoubleDrive, and won the 2001 Peoples Music Award for the category of Best Rap/Rock/Hip-Hop Artist. They also won Band of the Year for The Hard Rock Live, Orlando in a national Cabo Wabo competition and played countless sold out concerts. Matt performs acoustic and electric bass and provides lead and backup vocals. He is a dominate bass player in the Central Florida music scene in both cover and original projects.
